The new JSAz 350 is no longer based on a separate mechanical design. Instead, it is a smaller version of the successful JSAz 550, utilizing the same highly accurate and stable X-Y positioning system. This ensures the same inspection precision and mechanical stability that users have come to expect from the larger platform, while reducing the footprint required on the production floor.
A key design enhancement is the fixed PCB stage. During inspection, the PCB remains stationary while the optical head moves across the board. This approach improves inspection stability and delivers the same robust scanning performance found in the JSAz 550.
In addition to inheriting the precision mechanics of the larger model, the new JSAz 350 now includes laser measurement capability for selective 3D height inspection. This feature allows users to perform accurate height measurements on selected components and assemblies, providing an additional level of process verification for applications where component coplanarity, lead height, or assembly dimensions are critical.
The system combines this new 3D measurement capability with MEK’s powerful AOI technology, including:
